LearningMate was founded by a team of experienced eLearning practitioners at its helm. They bring together backgrounds in education technology, software product development, and business development.
CEO
Samudra has a history of contributions in designing products, interfaces, engaging interactivity, and effective instruction. An alumnus of the acclaimed Industrial Design Center at IIT - Mumbai, his past includes significant work in the world of design and communications, before he channeled his creative energies into addressing instructional processes that help people learn.
Prior to founding LearningMate, Sam (as he is better known) helped establish and manage the custom eLearning content development operation for Aptech Limited (later known as Mentorix). Besides this, Samudra brings a wealth of knowledge in management, processes, delivery, and implementation of eLearning as well as valuable relationships across the world.
Based in Mumbai, Sam is responsible for guiding the vision of the company. In addition he personally manages LearningMate's strategy planning and investor relations.
President LearningMate Canada (North American Region)
Mohit Bhargava, LearningMate's face in North America, has worked the western side of eastern eLearning before the term was coined. Prior to establishing LearningMate in North America, he spent seven years at Aptech Ltd., where he helped define their US eLearning services strategy and contributed to their early success.
In Mumbai, he was on the visiting faculty of the S. P. Jain Institute for Management & Research where he got chalk on his hands teaching real students in real classrooms. Mohit has contributed to well-known newspapers and magazines and has a background in technology, education, consultancy, and business development.
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Mohit manages LearningMate's strategy for marketing and sales in North America.
President LearningMate UK (UK & European Regions)
Atul manages LearningMate's business in the UK and Europe from London. He is responsible for setting up LearningMate's initial client base and evolving a long term strategy for business growth in the region. Atul partners Mohit and Sam in leading the company on business and strategic fronts.
Before moving to the UK he was the COO for LearningMate where he looked after the entire delivery function, product development, human resource development and operational strategy. In the early years of LearningMate, Atul was responsible for learning design and strategy in the company, thereby setting up the foundation for systems, processes, policies and guidelines that form the bedrock of its operations today.
Atul is a graduate in Computer Science from Pune University and prior to co-founding LearningMate, he led new directions in the editorial and instructional strategy functions for Aptech Ltd's eLearning business unit. In his past he has also independently managed a training business for three years.
Business Head, Content Solutions
Jolvin is responsible for setting the pace for the growth of the content business in the company. He is responsible for creating new products, services and competencies in the content division that result in the expansion of the business. He guides and supports the sales team to achieve this goal.
Apart from this, Jolvin ensures a state-of-the-art facility and infrastructure to allow our ideas become reality.
Jolvin brings with him over a decade of multimedia and eLearning project management experience from Aptech, where he worked on eLearning projects for publishers, airlines, product companies, government, and online education portals across the globe.
Jolvin is a science graduate from St. Xavier College Mumbai and like all true Xavierites has a passion for the creative side of life.
Business Head, Technology Solutions
Ganesh's single minded passion for designing learning technologies has resulted in him pioneering several cutting edge solutions in this field. From creating tools that allow laymen to create instructionally sound content to developing highly sophisticated assessment engines and content management tools, Ganesh has seen (and done) it all.
Ganesh is responsible for ensuring the growth of the technology business at LearningMate, besides acting as a critical support for technology-enabled solutions in the content and porting divisions. He is an avid contributor to various learning technology forums across the world that help define technology standards in learning.
Ganesh is a commerce graduate who discovered technology and computers in his college labs and has been married to technology, besides his wife, ever since.
Financial Controller and Information Officer
Mihir manages LearningMate finances and provides for all ideas and all the resources required. He is also responsible for ensuring that LearningMate has the most efficient systems in place for data gathering, analysis and reporting; helping decisions based on analytics, data measurement and sound logic.
Prior to this Mihir headed the think-tank of the company and was in charge of crafting the best-in-breed solutions for clients and managing all critical bids for LearningMate. He was also engaged in active pre-sales support and consulting engagements.
Mihir is a mechanical engineer from Mumbai University and an MBA from NMIMS. Before co-founding LearningMate, Mihir earned his spurs in Aptech's eLearning division.
Delivery Head, Project Management
Nachiket oversees the critical function of project delivery, and ensuring all LearningMate's projects are delivered successfully in time, within budgets and while ensuring world class quality. Besides, he also manages some of the key account relationships for LearningMate.
The project management function in LearningMate reports to him. Nachiket is responsible for ensuring standard practices and operating procedures across the delivery function and mentoring project managers. During the early years, Nachiket managed the most critical projects for LearningMate that have given the company the reputation it has today for being a world class provider of eLearning solutions.
Nachiket is an engineer from Nagpur University and an MBA from T. A. Pai Management Institute, Manipal. Prior to co-founding LearningMate, Nachiket was baptized in eLearning at Aptech and Mentorix.
Business Head, Content & Porting; Quality Head
Prasad heads the content porting business for LearningMate and ensures that large volumes of content can be migrated across platforms with turn-around times that are measured in hours, rather than days. He is also responsible for developing new skills and competencies in his group and design of new services and products.
Prasad is also responsible for implementing and improving processes and standards in LearningMate. He manages and maintains our processes, which are among the most efficient eLearning content development processes globally. He is responsible for LearningMate's journey in the CMMI implementation.
Prasad is a Science Graduate from Mumbai University and worked with the Aptech eLearning team and later Mentorix before co-founding LearningMate. |
