LearningMate’s Academic Competency Management Tool (ACMT) Receives an IMS Global Learning Consortium Learning Impact Award
New York, NY—LearningMate Solutions Inc. and the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDoE) today announced that the Academic Competency Management Tool (ACMT) has been awarded a silver medal in the 2019 IMS Global Learning Impact Awards competition. The Learning Impact Awards are conducted annually on a global scale to recognize outstanding, innovative applications of educational technology to address the most significant challenges facing education. LearningMate and SCDoE’s project was one of eight awarded a medal from a field of 32 finalists.
“We are honored to have ACMT recognized with this distinguished award by IMS Global,” said Mark Masterson, LearningMate’s Vice President, Government Solutions. “ACMT is certified to support IMS Global’s Competencies & Academic Standards Exchange® (CASE®) 1.0 and enables other teaching and learning systems to directly access authoritative versions of standards and competencies. This award acknowledges our commitment to developing innovative technology, strategies, and best practices that positively impact students and enable personalized learning.”
“On behalf of the SCDoE, we are thrilled to be awarded a 2019 IMS Learning Impact Awards silver medal,” said Daniel Ralyea, Director, Office of Research & Data Analysis at SCDoE. “Our entire team is proud of the journey we’ve been on with ACMT. This award validates our vision to develop a centralized unit planning tool that would meaningfully blend lesson development, collaboration, and asset sharing in a digital environment that links systems across the state, and we’re excited about the future impact it will have on our students.”
ACMT is a platform developed to support State Education Agencies (SEAs) and districts with the process of creating, maintaining, and publishing digital state academic standards and competencies. ACMT also provides states and districts with custom academic standards and competencies workflows, fully-searchable digital standards, reporting dashboards, and user management functionalities, all of which will help SEAs clearly communicate with stakeholders and openly share resources.
